ADRs - no tables for 3 but plenty tables for 4?
Has anybody else experienced this? I have struggled to find ADRs at several restaurants when searching for 3 guests but as soon as I change it to 4 guests suddenly there is loads more availability.
It is normal for Disney to selectively fill their restaurants to maximise bums on seats? It seems pretty unfair to me. I have made some reservations for 4 & will call to drop this down to 3. Have any of you guys experienced this? |

Thanks for your reply. I guess I just presumed that tables for 4 would be offered for parties of 3 if requested but I guess not.
Like you say, I'm just going to secure with the bookings for 4 & sort out nearer the time or on arrival. Fortunately, none of them are for pre-paid meals like CRT. |

As long as just 1 person turns up then the ADR is fulfilled so it really doesn't matter about the number.

Usually once you have booked the table for 4 you can change it to 3 using MDE, I've had to do this a few times in the past.

There seems to be a glitch in the ADR system that it's not allocating larger tables to smaller parties. I know it was definitely happening at Homecomin, you could not get a table for 2 at all but change to 3 (ironically given the thread) and it worked fine.
But as others have said, just book for 4 and modify if you can, or just inform when you check in that there'll only be 3. |

We had to do that a few times last year. Especially for the pre park opening breakfasts like Tusker house and garden grill.
