It's £17 per night for ages 10+ and £3 per night for ages 3-9. It doesn't get you any extra meals, but instead of getting 2 qs meals per night, you get 1 qs and 1 ts meal per night. These can be used for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We don't want too many ts meals, so we stick with the qsdp and just pay for a few ts meals separately. For 4 people all ages 10+, it would cost us £952 to upgrade for 14 nights and just isn't worth it for us.

I like it although book somewhere like POR and upgrade as its cheaper than the likes of AK for me. Although I am just as happy on the QSDP which will probably be what we book next time.

We only do 5 nights onsite, enough to make use of the DDP for all the charachter breakfasts, and maybe another TS meal
If we were to pay OOP for these meals it would be expensive We then move offsite for 16 nights in a villa... cant spend more time than 5 night in the same room as the kids..! |

We love the QSDP in our house, once the free dining ends we’ll have to rethink our future holiday plans as would be a huge change for us to go without it.

Depends how you define value.
£ / $ value, or experience value, and potentially spending more time in the parks by not having to leave to eat. We value the whole experience - and not having to decide where to eat night as we have booked in advance, and look forward to these experiences as much as rides. Quality of food and price is secondary to that, although not completely irrelevant. There are some great places to eat off site, but without the theming of Disney Dinning don't really come into the must do's for our Disney holiday. Likewise I disagree that buying drinks with snack credits is bad value - best to do that than dehydrate and feel poorly - you don't need 60 bags of trail mix to take home!

If you plan to spend some time in Disney then IMO its a no brainer, especially if 'free'.
Both times I costed up getting a villa or cheaper hotel. Once you factor in gift card and car parking costs that's at least £300 back in your pocket! Now on the DDP we eat lots of snacks and meals, and if paying OOP would probably cut back a bit, but I thought that we would break even at worst plus you get the 60 day FP, EMH etc... |

I recently priced up staying onsite for 14 days with free QSDP upgraded to DDP at CBR or CSR, 5 days onsite with free QSDP upgraded to DDP followed by 9 days in a hotel and eating all meals offsite, 14 days at a hotel eating out with a mixture of onsite and offsite dining, and 14 days at a condo (Vista Cay) eating a mixture of in the condo and offsite.
The price difference for 2 adults and 1 child was a max £480 across the 2 weeks. If we stayed in a hotel for 2 weeks and ate every meal out, the difference was only £305. Eating offsite prices for us means eating at places like Olive Garden, Longhorns, Bahama Breeze and a few cheaper meals like CiCi's and Subway and Steak'n'Shake. If the Dining wasn't free, it would obviously be a lot more expensive, but with free dining you need to decide if convenience outweighs the additional cost of between £300 - £450 per family. (I also took into account the cost of hiring a car offsite and paying for parking v. Disney transport, return airport transfer fees, Uber From Disney to Universal etc. I also included using the "all day dining" packages for Seaward and Bunch Gardens)

Have they announced it will end? If so what dates, I presume you mean pull the offer for good?
