Ok so there’s been a change. Surprise Surprise!

The biggest non surprise ever if you’ve read my previous trip reports.

Obviously the new deal is a big factor but I actually changed it before it was announced so then I had to bloody change it again

I told a little lie to you all at the beginning but I didn’t know if DW would read as I wanted it to be a surprise to be revealed when we got there. She hasn’t read it and doesn’t actually know I’ve started this pre trip As said in the first post I’m worried about space. I told you I booked Art of Animation, Little Mermaid room. Only a half truth. I booked Art Of Animation but I booked a Finding Nemo Family Suite. As soon as I booked it thought what the hell am I doing? A total unnecessary expense! It would be great but it’s just too much money. So I went back to Caribbean Beach Resort. I was worried about being miles away from everything and not feeling the love for the resort so I’ve booked a preferred room. This is coming in a whopping £600+ cheaper than the Finding Nemo Family suite. I still don’t know what I was thinking. Too eager to please the wife or wanting my own bed to get away from her snoring.

I booked it Sunday getting through to Disney in 30 seconds and changing the booking. So then the news breaks about the new plan. I’m in the boat of I wasn’t expecting anything so I’m pleased with the offer. In my budget, I’d planned on buying the QSDP if it comes back. With this new dining credit I won’t need to do that now so I’ve reduced the budget for that amount by a lot. So in a week I’ve reduced the cost of the holiday by £850. Not too shabby! In the end I rebooked online a new booing and have emailed Disney to cancel the old booking to get my deposit back as it was fully refunded. I also did the new booking through Topcashback and will get £105 back. So £955 saved!

So let’s see what else I change!

Lovely to read a pre-trip report. The draw of POFQ is something I wrestle with every trip, but I enjoy my values hotels as well.
