Flight simulator experience

Hiya, just wondered if anyone had done one of these experiences and if so, would 2 hours be too long?

I was looking to get this for DH for his christmas present, as I think he would love it. We are around an hour from Shoreham so could make a nice day of it.

They do 60 minutes and 90 minute experiences, but I just liked the look of the 120 minute one, which includes gate-to-gate. Plus I'd hate him to really love it and then have to finish quicker than he would like.

But would 120 minutes be too long perhaps?

I know a couple of people who have done this. Prestwick and Dundee. I don’t remember how long they were in for but both loved it and said it was over too quickly. Mind you they are both really into flight sims with full setups at home.

I did something similar recently on a 737 simulator. Did 90 minutes and it seemed to fly by ('scuse the pun). They recommended 90+ to get the fullest experience. Did a couple of take-off's and landings then simulated an emergency landing a la 'Miracle on the Hudson' in New York,

We did a similar one in Newcastle, it is called the flight experience I have linked the website here

Fantastic experience and did a gate exit and a few take offs followed by landing to gate then landing in different weather conditions too.

The gate to gate experience was not encouraged as the most interactive element of the fantastic experience was in take off and landings.
Hope you get something booked and have as good an experience as we did in Newcastle

Thank you. DH doesn't do flight sims but I do think he will love this.

Thank you will definitely look at 90 minutes as a minimum for him.

Thank you, so would you say the gate to gate option isn't really worth the experience?

We were guided by the company as we had initially thought the whole experience was just a complete flight gate to gate, and were happy with that.

What they were able to do was to make the tech, cut out the cockpit 'down time' so it maximised the opportunities to do reapeated take offs and landings. Amazing what they can make the simulator do

As with anything - go for the option you really want, if you have any requests give them an email or a phone call so you get exactly the experience you want to enjoy. As I said before, it is rediculous what the tech can do - the simulator people will have so many different options based on just how much time you want to spend with them.
