If i buy the seasonal annual pass on line with Universal now but not access the park until next month when will my pass expire - is it 12 months from date of activation / park entry?

It’s 12 months from activation.

We were considering upgrading for next year as we don’t go to Universal until our second week so could get two trips out of it. We got the 2 days with 3 days free tickets so it would depend if they take the cost of a 2 day ticket or a 5 day ticket off the AP price. We’ll need to work it out as it may be cheaper than buying more tickets for next year either way.

Thank you. I thought it was from date of activation. We have already booked for early September 2020 but thinking of a last minute holiday late next month so will get two holidays from them.

Upgraded 5x 2 park 14 day explorers to seasonal annual passes for free today.😁😁😁

One of these was a child ticket as well.

Initially told I could only upgrade to a 3 park seasonal at a cost of $49 each. Asked the op to speak with a manager as option to upgrade to 2 park should be available but was not showing on the system.

Turns out the reason it was not showing is that the pass was valued higher than the 2 park seasonal! They had to do it as an exchange and I signed a waiver to forfeit the difference (which I was happy to do).

Did not query how much the difference was as a refund was not an option and happy to get for free.

Based on the $269 v $369 for 2 park v 3 park respectively for a seasonal pass and the $49 quoted as upgrade price it looks like they are valuing it at around $318. So with hindsight I may have got a 2 park powerpass for next to nothing instead.

Thanks for the info. We would like to upgrade when we get there to get best use of the discounts. Do you know if you can upgrade at cabana bay reception?

We have just upgraded our 14 day pass for the basic annual pass cost us $49 each and is valid for 12 months from activation of the 14day pass. We made the mistake of upgrading on our last day.. if you know you’ll be upgrading to the basic annual pass, I’d do it the first day but consider upgrading one of the passes to a preferred pass as this gives free parking so dependant on how many days you’re visiting it’ll pay for itself in what you’ll save on parking over your two visits.
