Isn't that the way with birthday parties though? Friends get invited, and those that aren't don't? It would be different if you were just leaving 1 or 2 out, but you could still easily invite 15 or so from school, plus his cousins, family etc and it would still be a big party. I would never invite people that my son wasn't friends with in order to simply not upset/leave them out as I know that ultimately, it would have a negative effect on his party which is meant to be for him to enjoy. There were certain children in his class that would have simply overtaken everything - having a great time themselves, but having a detrimental effect for others. Our son would have been horrified and upset if we'd have invited them due to deciding to have the whole class there. Obviously, it's different if he's friends with everyone, but I'd maybe sit him down with you and get him to create a list of guests for his perfect party.

He is in a good class to be honest and likes everyone so would be ok if they all came but he does have closer friends in his class. We deffo would make a list and only invite who he wants to be there! Thanks.

We had an entertainer/dj at my dd’s Year 6 leavers party last year and he was fantastic. The boys spent more time on the dance floor than the girls showing off their Fortnight moves.
Book the venue and the entertainer but leave the specifics until nearer the time.
That’s great thanks. I thought they would tailor it for the age group and I have had this company recommended!
Thanks.

I wouldn’t invite the whole class either, give invites to parents or to your son to give his friends. I used to try and please everyone when my sons were small buy time dd we had a couple of expensive parties and then at high school three friends and the cinema and Nando's. We paid and her friends couldn’t believe we were willing to pay!
