Consent to take my grandson

Can anyone advise what I need to do ,I’m taking my grandson on a canary cruise for two weeks do I need to get a notary etc

dd had to get a signed solicitors letter for me to take dgd on the royal Caribbean cruise don't know about other ships but rc insist on it, she also wrote out a consent letter with her name,phone number, and passport number and it still took nearly one hour to board from Southampton as they had to photo copy everything, hope that helps

We had to get a notirised letter for Dgd1 on a cruise that went to Mexico...but when we took our other two granddaughters on a Disney cruise in the Med...it was just a letter from the parents giving permission to take them.
