Simon Calder stated on twitter does really believe that BALPA are keen on getting a resolution without striking so let's hope that it all gets solved. I suppose ruining the brand further really doesn't help anyone as they risk being made redundant in the future if no one wants to fly with them.

Fingers crossed!

Seems I'm in the same boat as a few of you as my outbound is okay. I just really hope now that if it's worth negotiating into next week then some progress is being made. Good luck all, hopefully we'll get further clarification soon and know either way where we stand.

You can see exactly what the airline must provide on CAA website. But broadly it is hotel, food, and an alternative flight back.

Depending on the level of your insurance cover you might get something from that too.

Also - keep in mind the nugget of compensation. If they cancel with less than 14 days notice you will be due the above plus potentially €600pp...

Not if it is due to a strike by air traffic control or something which is beyond the control of the airline.

Strike's involving the airlines own staff do count as they are in the airlines control. Ryanair got dragged through the courts and forced to pay not so long ago due to pilot strikes.

Some interesting opinions and views on here. I’d say Procrastinator pretty much has it spot on.
