Flying into Miami and driving to Orlando the next day...recommendations for 1 night stay in Miami?

DH doesn't fancy the drive from Miami to Orlando after we land so we will make use of being awake early the next day and drive up to orlando that morning.

Has anyone got any recommendations for a 1 night stay fairly local to the airport?

Thanks

We stayed at the Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel earlier this year.

It's right across the street from the Car Hire Centre, we took the hotel shuttle to the hotel when we arrived and then walked across the next morning to pick the car up.

I managed to get a good deal for a Club Level room on hotels.com

We use the Sofitel. Then collect the car at 5-5:30am to get out of Miami before the traffic chaos starts.

We stayed at the Hyatt place miami airport east, 2 mins from the car hire pickup and free bfast in the morning, think they charge $20 to park the car there for the night.

We usually stay at the airport Marriott, with lounge access so we have a snack/ drinks in the evening and breakfast the following morning before collecting the car

Hi Welshmum hope you don't mind me adding to your question...

I'm doing this next year but I'm torn at the minute by staying close to the airport or driving North an hour or so and getting closer to Orlando. We land at around 16:00 so if we get out of the airport in 90 mins and hour or 2 driving doesn't sound so bad.

Has anyone done this and if so where did you stay?

We stayed at the Hilton on blue lagoon drive in 2016. Clean, comfy and about 10 mins from the airport.

This year we drove north to deerfield beach and stayed at the Wyndham deerfield beach which was literally on the beach, is about 45 mins from Miami and got us out of the traffic the next morning, we were on the road by 8, stopped at Vero beach for brunch and in universal studios by 1pm after checking into the hard rock hotel.

The Holiday Inn Miami Doral is about 10 mins away from MIA. There’s a Doral Ale House (aka Millers) across the car park but many other restaurants nearby, and a huge Walmart a couple of blocks up for the car picnic shopping next morning. Lots of flight crews use the holiday inn. There’s also a small pool but we’ve never (yet) got around to using it.
It’s really easy to get out of Miami for the drive to Orlando the next morning as you’ll be up at silly o clock and normally even with a comfort break at Steaknshake at Fort Pierce we’re in Orlando by lunchtime!
