Yes ours is roughly £30 a month and we have a good make (we were advised to pay more upfront as the more expensive tubs (generally) are more energy efficient to run on a monthly basis -we have a good insulated lid and it still costs around £30 a month

No way your hot tub Costs £1 a month I am afraid.
I think you will find that’s where your big bills are coming from.

Turn it of for a month and see the difference.

My bills is £100 joint with hot tub but my friends is £145 with hot tub, just depends on the tub I think.

Why don't you get your average usage for the past year and run it through a price comparison site? We did that recently and switched to Bulb, they are great.

Before you switch, check out refer a friend offers. Eg with Bulb you get £50 each off your bill when you refer a friend. Done it with a couple of work colleagues

We pay £100 a month for a 4 bed semi, 2 adults who are out at work weekdays. Not sure what our balance is like as we haven't input a meter reading for 5 months need to do that asap!

Yes typo on the hot tub estimated cost, it's under £15 a month, I knew it was negligible.

Still think it will be more than that.
Try turning it off and see the difference I think you are paying more like £65 a month for your hot tub. Total guess work of course.

I'm not switching it off, too much work on the water chemistry. Are the manufacturers normally that far off on their estimates then? Seems really dishonest to be putting under $10 US in print if the actual cost can be 8/9 times that?

Seems very expensive at £145 a month for just electric. We have a four bedroom bungalow with 3 adults and someone is home all day so we use a lot of electricity, our cooker is electric too. Our bill is around £130-160 a quarter with EDF on a 12 month fixed rate tariff. Our gas is also with EDF and covers all our heating (although we do have a small wood burner too) and hot water and that is around £80 per quarter in the summer to £250 a quarter in the winter

We pay £70 per month for gas and electric direct debit so an average over the year. There are 4 of us in a 3 bed bungalow. We also have solar panels so our electricity bill is only £30 monthly and we receive money back via the solar panels quarterly. £40 for gas

I don't think mine's going to be much good for comparison as i've only got a 2 bed flat, but for gas and electric it's £68.

Do you have an immersion that's on and you don't realise? Do you have an electric shower? We've noticed since getting the electric shower installed that our bill has risen slightly.
