Mobile TV dinners vs eating at table

When we had a small house for years it was TV dinners in the living room but we only had a fold up table and chairs at that point. Then we had two high chairs. When the kids got older I insisted on a table in the kitchen but it had to have chairs hideaway under, when it was in use you couldn’t get into two drawers, cupboard or back door so we tended to use it for just the kids.

Now we have moved I have finally got the dinning table I’ve always wanted, it’s in the middle of my kitchen and this is where we have eaten every meal bar one since we moved here 5 months ago.

So are you in the TV dinners, table or other.

Would do a poll but I’ve forgot how to

Always the table for us. We try to eat together as much as possible but sometimes hard because kids are older, busy etc

Almost always at the table. I'd got into bad habits a few years back. It's great to have truly random conversations!

We always eat at the table at the weekend. Week days are very ad hoc with people coming, going, finishing work, clubs all at different times so it’s rare that we are all together in an evening at the same time.

My house is too small for a table. I miss having a dinning room. We try and eat together as much as we can with the tv off. it's good to chat and catch up.

Just thinking, never thought of a fold away table that would be good for Sunday dinner/Christmas etc.

Always at the table now, but up until a couple of years ago we had got into really bad habits of eating on the sofa whilst watching tv.
It was actually an Orlando holiday that made me realise what wonderful conversations we can have when all sat together at a table!

Dinner is always at the table, the only exception is for take out pizza! Plus we don't have phones at the table. As others have said we are all so busy it's nice to get togeher for a short while without other distractions.
