Uber/lyft at park close

Not hiring a car this year or staying onsite so wondering how difficult it is to get a taxi back to hotel from disney or universal if you stay til closing? And is it a lot more money?

No we left after fireworks and didn’t wait long at all for a Lyft. Driver was assigned to us immediately and he text us his location when he pulled in, maybe 4 or 5 minutes later. We were going to Disney Springs and I didn’t notice any difference in the price versus the night before when we got Lyft from Springs over to the park for EMH so it can’t have been much different.

Sometimes a slightly longer wait if they aren't close by and sometimes a little more in cost because of demand but not significant

We didn’t wait long for an Uber outside Universal but be aware, we were approached by lots of cabbies (including a guy with a beat-up old black limo!) who claimed they were faster and cheaper than Uber. We told them all that we had already booked an Uber which was on its way, one guy went as far as to try and take my partner’s phone out of his hand to “show him how to cancel an Uber”. Make sure you’re ready to deliver a firm “NO THANK YOU!” and don’t keep checking your phone.

Thanks for the advice! Dont mind waiting 15 mins or so but wondered if at closing it could be a really long wait! Will have lyft and uber app's ready to go!
