What to do if staying at Disney hotel but not visiting park that day
Hi
So I’m doing a non Disney hols next August but have now decided on doing mnsshp and one day at Hollywood studios 🤫 So I thought about booking 3 nights onsite to give us time on day of party to have already checked in and the next day to do studios but wondered what we could do on first day/night. We have no car? Thanks Angie Also thought about a character meal which isn’t inside a park, any suggestions pls x Edited at 02:34 PM. |

Swim, crazy golf, Disney springs, Boardwalk and hire a surrey bike, visit other resorts (especially ones on the monorail or via boats or the new gondolas which will be working by then to add some variety).
There is loads to do without being in the parks. |

We checked in, swum, and then went via bus to mk and boat to the Polynesian. Captain cooks cafe menu suited us, so we ate there and then went to trader sams tiki bar, for cocktails watching the fireworks at mk from the left hand seats.

AKL resort has animal watching activities - or could go to a bar/restaurant/lounge in one of the resorts and people watch.

Disney Springs? It always takes me at least a few hours to wander around with going through the shops and shopping, getting random snacks at various places, and possibly also a meal or two.

Which hotel are you thinking of booking? At some you can easily spend a few hours in the pool, or walking such as at POFQ, there is a lovely walk along the river.
You can book a character meal at 1900 Park Fare at GF or Chef Mickey at CR, both do breakfast and dinner. You can also get character breakfasts at O'Hanas with Lilo and Stich or Cape May, I started typing then remembered a few others so here is a link disneyworld.disney.go/en...ing/character/. Hope this helps. |
