Help with a mid Disney break.

Looking to get away from it all during our two week holiday in September 2020. A beach would be great for a two day, one night break so the DW can relax and recharge in the sun. Must be somewhere where me and our two adrenaline hunting boys can enjoy something as well. They get bored very quickly just sitting around on the beach. It doesn’t have to be a theme park or rollercoasters, just somewhere they can be occupied. Cheap and cheerful accommodation would be appreciated too. Never been to the coast so am a complete novice.

Thanks.

Son and daughter in law stay at Sarasota for a few days in an airb&b. They love it and its a reasonable "rent".

We tend to go to Clearwater esp if just a one or two nighter. Combine with dolphin trip and Busch gardens on the way back ( and depending on timings we truly and add in a Buccs game). Loads of waterborne options available sailing snorkelling, paddle boarding etc.

If have a bit more time then head north east to Saint Augustine - I love it there!

Would go for something near Pier 60. So not so much walking around and stuff for them to do nearby if they don't want to stay with you.
Pier House 60 is pretty good but there are a number across a whole range of prices. Do check they have parking as it can be busy / hard to park.

Seascreamer and little toot good dolphin options. SS was preferred by my older teens as a bit more woomph. Also pirate cruises for the younger set if wanted while you go on little toot/as if wished.

Another vote for clearwater - we did a boat ride in a large speed boat (took about 15 people), the kids got to take control of the boat for a while, might be something your boys would like. Evening Pier 60 really comes to life.
