Gulf coast - advice
Hi, Planning a couple of relaxing nights in the west coast after a crazy two weeks in Orlando.
Looking for advice on where to stay. Obvious choice would be Clearwater but would love to hear about other resorts that you guys would recommend. Any villa recommendations would be appreciated also, 4 beds, as close to the beach as possible. Thanks again. |

We love Anna Maria and there are plenty of threads on here about how awesome it is!
We have stayed at Cedar Cove in the past and this year we have booked a little cottage through Home Away for 6 nights over Xmas. AMI is my happy place! |

We love Naples, but further than Clearwater obviously but so relaxed with a chilled vibe.

Naples is our favourite, but closer to Orlando I prefer the Indian Shores area to Clearwater itself. Stayed in a cracking 2 bed condo this year there for £130 a night.

We have stayed in Manasota key and Indian Rocks beach and both much less busy, more relaxed that Clearwater. I would recommend both of those for a more chilled out stay.

The good thing about Indian Rocks/ Shores now is over on the mainland over the drawbridge at Seminole, they’ve built all those new restaurants so you get the peace down on Indian Rocks (with a coffee shop that sells the best latte I have ever had ;-) ) plus 5 min drive away you now have Outback, Millers, Applebees, and various others.

Absolutely love Indian Shores, had a week there a few years back and it was amazing!
