Suggestions greatly received for garden trees

Hi
I am considering some trees for my back South facing garden to provide some shelter and privacy.
I would like tall but slim trees and ideally evergreen-does such a tree exist? and what would dibbers advise please? 🌲🌲

Check out Strawberry Tree, see link, Evergreen and good height/width ratio
Arbutus unedo | Evergreen Strawberry Trees - Ornamental Treeswww.ornamental-trees.co.uk
I love them, we have one its now about 10ft tall, & full of the green strawberry fruit which will turn red September/October (which you can make jam out of)
We also have two 70ft 250 year old oak trees which you do not want!

I'm glad you asked this, we are looking for trees for our boarders so will be keeping and eye out for ideas too.

Its a fast grower and lovely and yellow in late spring.

They say you should never plant even numbers, so 1/3/5

If they like where they are they will grow quite quickly. Ours is planted where it get average rain fall and has grown quite wide. Remember never to plant closer to the house than 28ft. Thats from our arboretum surveyor. I speak as someone who has had a subsidence problem from next doors trees planted originally 8ft from our garage wall - you do not want to go thru that trust me!
