We paid the full amount on our hire car quite early on - before we needed to. As long as you cancel before a certain date, their cancellation fee is £50. We have now cancelled and asked for a refund (excluding the £50), however, they are not responding to emails or answering their phones.

Anyone else had difficulties with them?

Best thing to do is go on the online chat, I cancelled mine for May 1st back on March 20th, they told me it would take between 30-60 days for refund, chased them twice after 40 days and 54 days, got refund into credit card on 58th day, still have a booking for September with them and will keep it, was a bit ≈≈≈≈≈≈ that they took so long but were true to their word and in the light of the situation understandable. Girl I spoke with on the online chat was Jess

30-60 days is unacceptable imo... and so is not providing free cancellations with 100% refund.

I think they have closed the online chat facility and their telephones down. They instruct people to email - whicj I did two weeks ago and they haven't replied.

Agree it is outrageous but still quicker than virgin, I am lucky in that I wasn’t desperate for the money

I was on their chat a week ago on Thursday so they may have closed down the chat option since then, I’ll have a go and let you know what I get

Try going onto website and go into menu button top right, drop box still showing chat, try it during working hours though, hope that helps

We canceled our may the 1st pick up beginning of April they took the £50 cancellation fee but still waiting for our money back the car we have booked for 24th June we have spoken to them and changed it to our November dates. think this will be our last time of booking with them poor service although up to now never had a problem

We cancelled our May booking paying £50 cancellation. The 60 days is up this Saturday so we will see what happens. We have used them for a number of years but don't think we will use them again. I checked the email address and all communications have been from info@usrentacar.co.uk. Hope you get it sorted out.
