Last day of the dining plan

Well, today we checked out of Kidani village, with heavy hearts.

We've never had the DDP before, but it was free with our booking, so my thoughts are:

OMG, so much food! I was glad that we did 2 signatures (which are not good financial use of the DDP), as it meant that we had some days where we ate less food. In retrospect, we could have planned much better - we went to the final day of EPCOT F+W, but actually most of us didn't eat too much as we were still stuffed from the Yachtsman the night before.

The food was generally good quality, and we found that eating at a few places like Wolfgang Puck express at Disney Springs or the Sat'uli canteen meant that the QS meals weren't non-stop fried food. The advantage of "free food" was that we could stop eating when we felt like it, rather than feel obliged to finish the meal because we paid for it.

Was it worth it? Totally for a free addon. Would I pay for it? Not so sure, but I can see the attraction of it.

If I did it again, I'd plan the meals better to alternate between heavy and light meals.

We had 18 QS meals and 19 snack credits left on our final day 🙈
The girl behind the fudge counter in the Main Street Confectionery looked like she wanted to kill me 😬

We popped into goofys at Disney springs earlier - got stuck behind a family �using up� qs credits.
Took ages to decide what they didn�t want. Lol.

We did it last year for 8 nights (3a1c) and had 3qs and 14 snacks left to use up
Similar to you, it's a lot of food and I have hopefully planned a bit better for next year

We have more lunch TS booked, keeping the evenings free to use a qs. Also means we aren't totally stuffed for the next day

Glad you enjoyed it.

I think the general consensus is that it's great when free but not so much when paid for.

It does take a few tries to become a pro though!

I have made quite a few school boy errors in my DDP time.

We'll probably do 2 x TS shows and stuff and make the QS go further, seems a better use than buying candy on the last day.
