Any experience. Rent in Canada return in US

Thinking of doing this next year, starting in Toronto and ending in Washington. Probably a 3 week trip with the last week being in Baltimore and then fly out of Dulles.

Found a post by the ever helpful Mr Tom suggesting alamo.nl which at least does give me a quote, not sure why, but unable to get any others. So just wondering has anyone done anything similar and who they used.

i think you would need to ring companies direct to get a quote as its uncommon for a 1 way rental to be allowed between usa/Canada. but tbh even when I've booked 1 way trips within the US between states ,the 1 way fees can be really high. For purely economical reasons you might want to consider a rental on either side of the border & using a bus to cross the border from drop off point to your next pick up...I presume you'll be going via Niagara so i'm sure u will have lots of rental options in that area.

We had an Ontario registered Suburban collected at MCO from Alamo once so it may be possible.

I don't know if it had anything to do with it but it was when that polar vortex happened, we had to extend car hire for 3 days and they gave us that.
