Alamo price leap!

Holy cow, just checked the latest prices for our holiday at DFCH, USCarhire and Virgin and the price for 3 weeks has shot up £200!

Glad I managed to bag a booking before the price leap.

Always worth booking early and then monitoring constantly. Prices are up and down like a yo yo.

Yeah, I've read your advice Tom that's why I booked a few weeks ago. Its also why I was checking prices today but I was amazed by the huge leap in prices (from £500 to £700)

Thanks for posting this - gave me a kick up the bum to book as we were debating picking car up on arrival of having one night near the airport and getting it in the mornin so hadn't yet booked.

Checked DFCH and price had shot up from 706 to 1111. Luckily virgin was still at 736 with an extra driver included so all booked now

I booked our full size SUV with DFCH yesterday as the price with Alamo dropped almost £50 for our 3 week trip next June so happy days for us as I have been checking everyday.

I suppose it must depend on your dates if the price is higher or lower.

Ours with DFCH has shot up £300 since booking Friday (equivalent with Virgin unchanged).

Have been keeping an eye on the price of a 7 seat mini van for July. Alamo brits and DFCH have all went up.
Just booked with Virgin as their price hasn't jumped yet.
£840 for 15 days including extra driver and GPS.
Not cheap, but I was afraid of it getting even more expensive.
