I have a booking with Andy after I cancelled a Virgin one.
This is my experience Virgin cancelled and took 4 business days to get my money back Andy. After I booked the price dropped circa £35. He issued a new contract the next day and refunded me immediately. Well pleased.

Well I hung on but prices don't seem to be budging at the moment so I have booked with Virgin Holidays (Alamo, car only) - £659 for 18 nights MCO standard SUV (16th Jul to 3rd Aug).
Can cancel with no penalty up to 72 hours prior. I put my transaction through quidco and 'appear' to have qualified for £13 cashback - won't hold my breathe... £600 was my target price so I will keep monitoring prices in the meantime... Thanks all. Ali x |

I keep monitoring prices as I always do
Dates are July 31st 2019 through August 28 2019 (28 days) at MCO I will only book with Alamo I stuck to my motto which is, book early, amend later, so I booked with Andy, an INT SUV for £828 that was back on september 20th, (yes that's quite early) as soon as I had booked my flights and locked my dates so far, Andy is now up at £1400+ for the same rental, almost twice the rate I have booked 3 months ago with him Virgin Holidays is still at £860 for the same rental, so with £828 locked in, Andy is still the winner as far as I'm concerned but I keep hoping prices will eventually go back to more sensible levels, nearer to the date and that's just some feedback to stress, once again, that it will pay off, booking as early as possible, with a company that gives you free cancellation, and grind the price down if price goes down. And with Andy, it's a no risk, since you don't even need to pay a deposit (and if this post sounds like an ad, let me tell that I'm not affiliated in any way , just a very satisfied customer) Edited at 03:34 PM. |

I believe last year from 1st July to 31st August bookings were, with some Rental companies, classed as "high season" attracting a premium. A new thing to relieve you of your money.
