Universal studios
So it was never on the cards to head back to Orlando in 2018, but after seeing what we felt wa a good price in August we are now doing 10 days club level at RPR... and no Disney
We plan to take things easier on this holiday, and weather permitting have plenty of pool time as well as park time. Now, being used to Disney and always staying on site at POR I am used to being in full on plan mode, but am finding that Universal doesn't require the same amount of planning. I have been looking and can't seem to find any added extras to book onto our holiday... obviously with Disney we have done the desert parties, mickeys backyard BBQ etc etc. I am struggling to see that universal do any extra meals/shows... we did Blueman Group last year so don't fancy it again next year. Am I missing anything?

We always just go to Universal as it is a much more relaxed holiday and can play each day by ear. They don't have too much added extras but we found that there is such a wide selection of restaurants at City Walk that you can eat somewhere different each night. There is also the cinema and mini golf to keep you occupied. If you also keep an eye out for gigs at the Hard Rock as we went one year to see Gavin Degraw which was a fun night out. Must be such a culture shock to go from planning in minute detail for Disney to winging it at Universal but it will be a fantastic holiday

Thanks for your reply. I think I will get a Landry card nearer the time. We had a fantastic meal at the sports bar in City walk last year, I also want to try Bubba Gumps and The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium (we only went in the cafe last time).
Oh well, looks like it will be a holiday full of food and drink
