I'm having issues with BA right now, but I suspect all major companies are the same... utterly incompetent.
All companies should be judged on how they handle problems like this, not how great they are when things are going well. BT this morning "ALL I CAN SAY is that I apologise...". No, what you can say is "This is what we will do to fix your problem..." I've actually had companies trying to tell me that the reason they have recorded my email address incorrectly is because I probably forgot it. As if I'm going to forget my own name that I've had since birth for the last 50+ years Hi Chris |

Take some blame...
Unfortunatley as it was your own error in the first place, you will have to look in the mirror to find the blame. I'm guessing through your post you got quite irate on the phone when the person on the other end of the phone was telling you there was an error with the passport which is correct. There may be systems in place where they can not change it without physically seeing you. They maybe could have not gave you some false information, they may have thought they had corrected it, but let it be a lesson to us all, check check and check again all the information you input.

Hi all! Sitting in our hotel. A few things probably for me to clarify.l again - completely my mistake in the first place however my issue was the service I received. Secondly I'm a pretty normal guy I just want folk to give me the service they would want and for people to do their best to resolve an issue - after all that's what I and their employers are paying them for right?
Anyway, turned up at the airport today and was told that the manager dealing with it had put a note on the file to say their staff didn't do enough and upgraded up. All ends well. |

Its hardly "Horrific" is it? Horrific is losing a loved one, having someone shot in front of you, that's Horrific.
Having issues with your holiday is exactly that an ISSUE, Is buying a car which then breaks down "Horrific" or an issue? Its a holiday. The fact you seem to be inflexible, wanting to book in online only, seems to be the reason behind your worry. Just get to Heathrow and it will be sorted. First world issues
