We had one this summer. Fine to drive and park, but try find an end spot when parking at the side doors open outwards. Fuel didn’t seem to bad but I didn’t note what mileage we’d done.

One thing I would say is with 10 of you trips to and from the airport will be super tight. There isn’t much bag space. There was 8 of us (including a baby) and we only just got everything in.

How bad are they to drive? You seem to think this is a horrendous machine. If hubby is at all worried, just hire a LWB Transit van for a couple hours. Maybe take some rubbish to the recycling etc. The size etc will be similar, but the 15 seat bus will be auto ( easy to drive ) and petrol.
Specs for the Ford version here
ford/trucks/transit-...ls/transit-xl/
It has a 25 gal tank and cheapest fuel today at $2.50 gal.. So 60 to 70 dollars a tank.

We have the same issue, there's 10 of us and we were going to hire a 12 seater minivan but friends of ours are saying that it's much easier to get around using Uber and hotel transfers. Really don't know what to do for the best! X

Dh is happy enough to drive large vans, we have a transporter now, the 15 seaters we can imagine are quite wallowy if you know what I mean! And bit worried about parking the great big thing! We may even park it at disney springs first thing in the morning and get buses to parks or ubers, not looking to bad for fuel costs at least!

It's a few years since we had one, but I remember the driver saying that it cost less to fill up the tank of that giant beast than it did to fill up his car in the UK.

We had a 15 seater last trip for the 9 of us and all the luggage. Son and hubby both drove it with no problms. Filled up once in the middle of our 21 day trip and then filled up again on the way back to the airport.

Wouldn't the parking issue be the same at DS as it would be at the theme parks. Last time I hired one over there parking wasn't an issue at the parks

The Fifteen seaters won’t be much bigger than your transporter, a bit wider and longer but not that much.
Did you check the link on my previous post for size?
At some of the parks they may place you at the end of a line where they put twin wheel pick up trucks and larger vehicles, RVs etc..

Here’s a piccy of the Ford one..

Get you get to pick what you have get the ford transit not the Chevy.

The Chevy option is dated and pretty bad really. Ford was modern (ish) and 10x better.
