Alamo no longer doing skip the counter?

Can anyone confirm I've booked next year's hol and have budget car hire I've asked about changing to alamo for skip counter it's only 100 more but my ta has said they are getting rid of that facility so I'll be paying 100 for nothing - can anyone confirm this or are they mistaken? Thanks

We did skip the counter OK on Wednesday, straight to garage, out within 10 minutes 😊
That said, I have no idea if they have any planned changes? Is the TA just protecting a bigger commission? 🤷🏻

Personally I wouldn’t believe TA. Alamo would email customers to let them know or put this on their website surely?

This is my thinking as we did skip the counter in August seems strange they would stop it.

That's what I'm thinking I've been on alamo website and they are still advertising it. If people are booking with alamo direct and they remove it they would have a lot of unhappy customers

We weren’t able to skip the counter at Miami last month. We were told we had to sign a contract and as we entered the garage they checked that we had gone to desk to do that.

Believing a travel agent is up there with believing Cast Members when they tell you Disney are building a train from MCO to WDW.

They’ll have been lying to save their commission

Probably the same TA who says that you need 6 months grace on a UK P/P to visit the USA, that nobody accepts travellers cheques any more, that you can't do an ESTA until you book a holiday with them and you need an IDP to hire a car over there.

The things I've read on here over the past 14+ years.
