Convertible Hire

Looking at hiring a convertible through Alamo for when we go next September. I fancy a mustang or camaro but have read they offer things like mini and mitsibushi convertibles. Just wondered if that is the case or am I likely to get a mustang?

Only fancy hiring it if I am likely to get one of those 2 cars.

Hi. I never hire them but I can't recollect seeing anything other than Mustangs and Camaros in the row at MCO.
Predominantly Mustangs.

But don't shoot me if I'm wrong.

We hired in Miami recently, there was one beetle and one mitsubishi in the line, but they also had 7 mustangs in the line, and loads parked up to one side to replenish, I wouldn't worry too much!

Agreed with above comments... always had Mustangs available, sometimes Camaro’s. Never been in a situation where had to take something other (15 plus times).
Given the choice it would be a Camaro every time 😎😎😎

We always rent with alamo and never been disappointed. Twice upgraded to a corvette for a few days! 👍👍other times had a mustang or a camero. Even if there isn't a mustang or camero there, we've just went to the desk and they have got on the radio and found us one, usually in a few mins. Defo recommend

All our trips we've had convertible booked with Alamo, last 8 have always been a Mustang tried every colour! I think there were a couple of Cameros one year but always gone for the Mustang!

We had one booked 2 years ago to pick up from SFB but by the time we got there, they didn’t have any left so they gave us a choice of Challengers or Camaros in every colour imaginable 😂 safe to say we were spoilt and Alamo are now showing silly prices for our May holiday for a challenger...£1700+!

Brilliant thanks everyone.

I do quite like the idea of a camaro out of the 2. Seem to recall reading a trip report where some tried both and said the camaro was the more fun to drive.

Guess I will just keep a wee eye on prices and see if they have any good deals going.

You’re most likely to get a Mustang, failing that a Camaro.

It won’t be a Beetle convertible as they’ve stopped making them and Minis are seen as specialist cars (also BMW almost charge more for a Mini convertible than the fleet price of a base Mustang!).

Sounds like the most difficult part will be choosing which colour to go for 😂
