Sixxt Car Hire - Urgent!
***UPDATE***** - Does anyone know what the hold is on the credit card with SIXT? Been told a couple of different things from max $250 a week to 3 times the amount of the car hire also the rental plus $200. Need an exact figure or close too as we have a limit on the credit card. Thankyou
I fly to mco this Sunday for 14 days and were hiring a car with sixxt car rental. Can anyone please confirm what documents and license we need to take? We have printed off our Invoice, booking voucher and we have our driving license do we also need our paper driving license aswell? Also does anyone know any apps for navigation that dosent require an internet connection for when we are there? Thankyou in Advance😀😀 Edited at 04:41 PM. |

No you do not need the paper section of your driving license. We always get a code from the DVLA that allows people to check your endorsements but have never been asked for this or had this information checked.
Sorry but we have a sat nav or use the one in the car so I cannot help with the information regarding the app to use. |

You don't need a DVLA code.

Have a look at HERE WeGo. Download the maps before you go. There is the option to use the app offline.

OP. Your paper licence can be consigned to the bin as it's no longer valid or like me you can just keep it as a curio.
DVLA code has never been required and the rental companies say this in their T & C's.

You know Sixt is off site so have to wait for transport to where their site is. Same with returning the car.
We used them last Christmas and personally found it a bit of a pain but there again once I get off the plane I just want to get in the car and drive to the hotel/villa!

OP please don't worry about this. Leave a little bit of extra time when you return the car but we didn't find it that big a deal.
