With the research I've done for this trip I can already foresee future trips as we are barely scratching the surface of the west coast over 2 weeks.

We are doing our first trip to the West Coast in June this year

Flying to Las Vegas staying at Luxor for 4 nights
Internal flight to San Francisco staying at Alise for 3 nights
Driving down to LA with overnight stays at Monterey and Pismo Beach. Was going to drive down Highway 1 but not sure how much we'll be able to now since the landslides
LA for 4 nights staying at The Tangerine Burbank
Then flying to New York for 3 nights staying at Rui Plaza
Flying back to Manchester

So excited

Pamster it's a pith your missing yosemite, coast road will be closed for up to a year because of the rebuilding of one of the bridges that had to be demolished.latest news looks like you could drive for about 30/ 40 mins down coast to part of big sur, but you would then have to retrace your steps and then go down highway , from pismo you could then drive up for about 1 1/2 hours and back. May be worth staying further up .Cambrian or morrow bay, worth having a look at a google Map and have a look at where is closed this will give you a better understanding

I posted my prices further back in this post I don't think there's a great deal of difference tbh between the two coasts . What you save not buying sonnahuntjwme park tickets on the west you spend on hotels .

Our price is probably gonna be more or less the same price as Orlando, but we decided we'd prefer to put it into a different sort of holiday with a few Disney days in between!
