Stayed at the Venetian 3 times - definitely would recommend for the size of the rooms and the location. Was looking a bit tired in 2019 but got a great deal from Travelbag.
Also stayed at the Luxor. Great budget hotel - at the bottom of the strip, so a bit further to walk/taxi to eat out.

I love Venetian and rooms are great. The rooms are quite expensive but would definitely be good for OP. I find the Luxor very dark and dingy…just my opinion, but what I don’t like is the location. Stayed at Mandalay Bay and hotel was lovely but hated being right at the south end of the strip. We went from MB to Vdara where my daughter was staying and it took us 35 mins. That was using the little tram as well.
Would agree about Venetian though. It’s lovely.

Another vote for the Venetian, the rooms are very large. We stayed with two teenagers, one had the 2nd bed and the other had the double sofa bed in the separate lounge area.
We loved all the extra space and would stay again.

There really is something for everyone in Vegas, no matter what your budget is. These days the resort fees are ridiculous and inflate room prices. Don't exclude the off strip hotels either. Prices are more affordable and shuttles will take you to and from the strip. I've stayed at the Orleans, Rio and Palace Station and all were perfectly fine.

I agree with others here about the Venetian and Palazzo. Some of the biggest suites in Vegas and truly beautiful hotels.

I’m a big fan of the Orleans huge rooms and decent prices (and as mentioned their free shuttle is quicker to mid strip than some on strip south hotels ) .
We are booked in Bally’s for September (started as a quick Florida trip too)

We like Ballys for a mid priced hotel. Staying there in December then again in February. We "strip hop" so have other hotels booked too. For us the Orleans was more expensive than Ballys for the dates we wanted.

Loved Venetian and would stay there again in a heart beat, but Wynn is my favorite, even though the location is not so good.
