You’ll be completely fine! It’s so worth it but it messy for a bit. My dog Max hated it too. I’d just make your life as easy as you can, microwave meals, the odd takeaway and pub trip! It’ll be over before you know it

Yes that's exactly how I'm planning on dealing with no functioning kitchen, we are quite well placed for eating out, takeaways etc etc, my daughter would have a picnic tea every night if I let her, but I think we will be having quite a few of those 😂, microwave will definitely be used a lot more too x

We did picnic teas, beans on toast can be done in the microwave/toaster. And to be honest, sometimes just ordered pizza 😂

After a few weeks of taking a rest from it all, the fireplace is finished.
We hated the big old fireplace surround, so we sold it It used to look like the above And now we have My husband measured it up, bought the timber, sanded and stained it, then plugged it to the wall. Ready for the rest of my decorations in a couple of weeks

It looks lovely. I was due to have my kitchen fitted next week but had a message to say that he can’t do it until the 13th December. I cried a lot my daughter is due home from uni the weekend before and we have used her room to store everything from the kitchen. I have no idea where it will all go now ! Hopefully it should be finished before Christmas as I have been buying decorations for the new kitchen for weeks now !
