DD wanted to be everything from a Gymnast, to a ballet dancer to an Actress. She went to drama school for a few years then settled down and wanted to become a dentist. She did Psychology, Physics and biology at college and went on to do Medicine. She graduated as a junior doctor this year. There certainly wasn't a straight road and I never saw it coming. I couldn't for the life of me imagine her doing early starts lol, but she's taken to it like a duck to water

I may be imagining things,
but im sure someone posted on here that their dd had ended up working at Epcot. Maybe it's been removed (?), but I'd be keen to hear more about that Disney programme

My DD wanted to be a vet. She did her GCSEs and A levels and got fantastic results but after doing lots of work experience she couldn't deal with losing the animals. She went on to get a 1st in her nursing degree and is now a nurse on ICU. She is now looking at going back to uni to study medicine x

It wasn't me that posted but my DD did a summer stint working in Epcot. She applied in her final year at Uni through Yummy jobs.

Thank you - that's interesting that it can be done as a shorter summer option.

I have a friend who wanted to be an equine dental technician. At the time she would have had to live so far away from home she decided against it. It's amazing what careers there are out there.

My ds didn’t do a degree and he’s just got a job with the home office in cyber security, all self taught.
Moved him into his first flat on Saturday and it’s lovely, reminds me of a New York apartment.

I definitely think that options have increased beyond just a levels and then degree etc. And that can only be for the greater good !
