It used to be you had to provide the cars number to virgin before coming up, but tgat has now stopped, so yes you can Uber up.
At T4 premier inn you could book a car from a stand in the lobby.

Oh I thought that the Upper Class wing & arrivals was open now? I know that the private security lane is still shut but I'm sure I read that they opened the arrivals lane when they re-opened the Clubhouse.

As an aside I just priced up the chauffeur from the Premier Inn to T3 using their booking form and they want £78 vs £9.43 for an UberXL Think I'll 'slum it' in an Uber!

Upper class wing & lounge are definitely open, we used it 2 weeks ago. Fast track security is closed though.

We had a quote for £20-25 from the Sofitel to UC wing, but decided to just make our own way to T3 and check in at the desk in the end, it was so easy and LHR was pretty quiet still with so few US flights.

I found the website taxisnetwork which provided lots of taxi firms and their prices.
One that had good 4.5* reviews was akcarslondon and using their website it quoted £8.97 for a standard car and £13.97 for MPV 8 seater which will be great for the 3 of us and luggage.
