I loved Vegas and will definitely be going back, esepcially as the conference I went to happens every year.

I was there 6 nights and to be honest that was enough. I think after two weeks I would be ready to hang myself.

If you stick to the Strip and maybe a visit Downtown then 6 nights is about right, but there really is so much on offer within driving distance of the city itself to warrant extra days.

Personally, I see Vegas abit like a Greek beach holiday. Chill and relax during the day, and head out for great food and drink in the evening, not forgetting the odd 25c here and there in a slot and of course some of the greatest shows in the world.

Treat Vegas like a Med holiday, two weeks, sun and chill around the pool during the day and then head out for entertainment and food in the evening... oh and a little gamble.

Everybody has a different way of doing Vegas. I'm extremely jealous of your two weeks, 7 nights is the longest we've had but in that time we had only part relaxation whereas you can spread your activities out and I would hope, not head home needing another holiday which is often the case for us after a US trip!

We off to Vegas for our 3rd visit this year. In the past we've done 4 days and 7 days, this year we will be doing 10. I agree with treat in like a hol in the med, the weather is great to lie by the pool during the day, venture out a bit to look at the hotels in the afternoon and party at night.

We stayed at CP for 10 nights before and we found plenty to do and we had already had a week in Vegas 18 months before and managed to fill two one week trips since!

There is plenty to do that is relatively cheap and some things are free!

We enjoyed touring the hotels and in fact on the 10 night trip we made ourselves a mission to collect a $1 chip from every casino and we pretty much accomplished it.

A few of the casinos have free lounge entertainment in the afternoons and the one that comes to mind is the Big Elvis at Bill's Gambling Hall who is brilliant and just across the strip from CP.

We hired a Mustang for a day and took a trip to Lake Mead. We have also visited Hoover Dam in the past and both these trips were a comfortable drive and very interesting.

We tend to eat in the buffets and these vary in price depending on location. We make the most of the free drinks whilst gambling. We are not the biggest gamblers but we found there is little discrimination between those seated at 5c machines and $5 machines. Be sure to tip the waitress to make sure she comes back with more!

Some of the shows are expensive but there are some shows that are affordable and enjoyable and keep an eye out for discount coupons which can help you save money.

It should still be comfortable sitting around the pool in October. I have been known to take a dip in the Ballys pool in December and lived to tell the tale.

If you are going to be doing a lot of chilling during the day then I feel you will easily fill 14 nights. Make the most of it - my husband would probably cut off his right arm to have the opportunity to stay at CP for 14 nights!
