Flight socks

Just thought I’d update this for anyone else struggling.

I spotted some athletic compression socks in sports direct that looked like they might work. They are not as tight as flight socks but then the flight socks were uncomfortably tight so that’s a good thing.

I decided to try them as I had no alternative and they worked well. ,y feet / legs are normally uncomfortably swollen after a short flight and after a full 22 hour day yesterday they were still fine. Slightly puffy ankles but nothing like the swelling I had flying to France last month.

Having had my varicose veins stripped I had to wear Teds medical stockings for 3 weeks. Deep joy!

I mentioned to the Consultant about flying and he said over the counter and badly fitted flight socks are more dangerous than not wearing them at all.
He said properly fitted or not at all.
