We went earlier in the year. We went from Cardiff as we were staying with Gill's mum ad dad. Charles de Gaul is a funny shape but not complicated. Admittedly we went on a strike day so things were Chaos but we wouldn't do it that way again. The planes were fine. The airport is ok, especially the travelators that take you up to baggage reclaim. They are a bit bouncy. There were massive queues at the airpot train station. Our French is quite good really, but we managed to get in the wrong queue. We didn't bother with correct queue as it was very long. We tried the machines but they froze on us. We went for the coach, waited for 3 quaters of an hour. We ended up taking a taxi (€75). On the way back we went for the coach. It was very late and we were the last to be let off. Next time it is Eurostar. We live in London so it is easy.

if you are flying the best bet is charles de Gaulle !

ryanair go to Beauvais which is quite far out and a bit trickier and more expensive to get to disney !

we have used both CDG and beauvais as well as eurostar price all three including transfers etc and see whats cheapest

It depends where in the country you live will depend on your options

Virgin offer Eurostar connections so if you are in a Virgin train area it might be good to look at that.

I have now been 11 times and the easiest and cheapest way to go is to drive. With flying there is so much waiting around and with eurostar you don't arrive until midday so you waste half a day. We always drive now (we just thought we would try flying) and we pay for eurotunnel with tesco vouchers. The drive from the tunnel takes just under 3 hours. This year we were in the park by 10.30am on the day we arrived and this was after checking in and the kids having their picture done with mickey mouse.
We have only ever driven as looking at all the timings we decided it was easier just to load the car and doesn't actually take any longer if you count door to door.

First few times we used the ferry then we've used the tunnel, and like you paid with tesco vouchers. We've also thought about using the o'night ferry from P'smouth but have actually found it cheaper to book an Ashford hotel and early morning tunnel and then the same on the way home, well late tunnel and hotel room.

It takes about 6-7 hours (well 7-8 with hour time diff) from Southampton so I guess you'd probably add another hour/hour 1/2 from Bristol, then you could book a cheap hotel just outside dlp for your first night and then up early and check in and get your tickets the next day, we've done that a couple of times too!

Flying to CDG airport is very handy, but it obviously depends on the flight times and prices from your local airport. Book the likes of Easyjet early enough and it can be very reasonable. Also time of year is a factor, since DLRP do 3 nights for the price of 2, 4-for-3 etc a few weeks before and after Christmas, which makes it quite affordable.

Remember too that you don't have to use the same airline for both legs of your journey. I'm going 15 Dec 2008 to Sequoia on a 3-for-2 night offer, flying out from Belfast with Aer Lingus (earlier flight than Easyjet) and back 18 Dec with Easyjet (late flight). Total flight worked out about £60 return, with baggage.

Transfer to resort depends on the size of your party, VEA Shuttle (Disney bus) is €17 per person each way and as has been said, will go round the world to get there, calling at other terminals and hotels. 6 persons or over and you should look at a private minibus hire (I can give you some websites), available from €100 each way and it will pick you up at the terminal and have you there in 20 minutes or less. There are 10 of us going in Dec and I've booked a minibus for €120 each way - it would cost €170 on VEA!

As for the TGV, it is quite a walk to the train station, depending on which terminal you arrive at and unless your french is quite good, can be daunting enough finding times, platforms, tickets, etc. And by the time you get there and sort all this out and wait for a train, you could be there with a private transfer!

Hope this helps!
