Virgin Disney springs check in

Please could somebody clarify if this facility is just for those who have booked a package with virgin or is it for those who have booked flights only also?

Is there an advantage with this over those who do online checking?

Thanks for any info

Included with virgin holidays. £10 with virgin Atlantic if you are economy (think you can it free if you meet certain criteria like upper class or if you are gold member for points). I’m not sure if the differences against online check in.

Anybody who has a flight with virgin is able to use it however I believe there is a cost if you are in economy. You should still do online check in though as then you can have a mobile boarding pass.

Almost

It's free if you've booked through VH or are flying UC or are a VS Flying Club Gold member.

Otherwise it's $10 per person.

We still do OLCI but you don't have to. Works for us as we're always off-site. Go to DS first thing, get rid of cases, out for breakfast and back to the villa for some more swimming and sunbathing.

People who are on site without a car say it's no use to them. They just leave luggage with bell services and catch the DME back to MCO.

Doh, so close. The way things are going $10 will probably worth the same as £10 soon!

The big advantage is being able to drop off your luggage in the morning, meaning you don't have to either leave it in your car all day or leave it at the hotel and return to collect it before heading to the airport. It also means when you arrive at the airport you just go straight to security as your luggage has already been checked-in.

Thanks for replies everyone. So, you would rather get rid of the cases than have them at the villa or in the boot of car until you go to airport? Is this because then you don’t have to be at the airport until later?

I've every confidence that it will return to the $1.96 that we got in June 2007 before we go in November. I'm hanging on a while before I get any.

The main advantage to us I suppose is that when we get to MCO we just go straight to security and don't have to queue at the VS check-in desk. Tend to get there maybe a couple of hours before our flight rather than three.

Sadly though but as long as VS PE remains £1,000 dearer than TC PE it will a while before we use it again.

Used this facility last week. We had only booked the flights with Virgin. Our flight home was 19.50 and Magic Bus pick up was not until 16:00 so we went to the check in at Disney Springs at 08.30 using an Uber there was only one family in the queue so we were quickly sorted out and then we went to Epcot and enjoyed a few hours at the food festival.
