Congratulations - I hope that everything goes well.
We hired one when ours was 1 year old. It was not easy to fit so we decided when we went back we would get a travel one that can be fitted using a seat belt. When we hired the seats were behind the shed in the car collection area and we were told to pick one that we wanted and the seats were in different areas depending on the size of the child. They were all covered in plastic bags and looked clean and undamaged. We found it easier to travel with a 1 year old than a 2 year old. They are easier to entertain and people are more sympathetic. They will also play peekaboo continuously which toddlers won't. You can get baby food out there, but you might want to check the brands etc available before going. Formula I think is different in US compared to UK and we took our own. Bubbles provide lots of entertainment. Pram fans are probably a must in September along with as much portable shade as possible. Hold children and take them to meet characters at first so they don't feel too overwhelmed (really does depend on the child). We had a lovely time with a 1 year old, but he doesn't remember it! |

I have no experience, but by a strange coincidence, the Dibb’s very own Lloyd discusses this topic in Episode 2 of The Great British Mickey Waffle podcast!

Toddlers. Zero concept of money. Time. Space. If they’re tired let them sleep. If they’re hungry feed them. If they’re thirsty water them. If they’re super cross cuddle them. If all else fails dunk them in the hotel swimming pool with an ice cream 😍

It will do exactly that. We took our son when he was 7 months so I know not the same. But we had planned everything as we always did. We quickly realised that the plan was going out of the window and with little ones you just have to count to 10 and go with the flow.
Going next year with our 3.5 year old and 20 month old. |

Following this! We go in October with our son who will have just turned 2! I’ve just spent a fortune on amazon with things to keep him entertained on the plane!
Are you staying on property? I read a trip report recently that said they could request bed guards, I thought this was a great idea! |
