Wearing celebration badges in the parks - for how long?

I watched a vlog and the lady said she wore her birthday badge for her whole trip and was gifted various treats etc by cast members.

Last time we visited day 1 was my birthday and I wore my badge on the day itself and that was it.

Wearing it the whole trip seems a bit cheap like you’re only looking for free stuff... we have the QSDP so I’m not going to be in need for any free treats!

What do others do?

I don't see a problem wearing badges the whole trip, which cost thousands I think it's rare to get any freebies/magic moments and it's nice to hear cast members wishing you happy birthday /anniversary. We got a free ice cream with candle & sung to on our last trip but did pay $150 for the meal at teppen edo.

Thanks everyone... thought so... I like the idea of clipping the badge to my bag (I may have to steal that idea!) 😀

There is nothing wrong with wearing the badge for as long as you want, whether that’s one hour, one day, one week, or your whole holiday. Some people do wear them for the whole holiday because it’s their birthday/anniversary/special occasion trip.

I mean, Disney celebrates the park’s anniversary for over a year - they were still celebrating the 25th anniversary of MK when we visited in December 1997. That was around 14 months after the actual 25th anniversary. So, I don’t think the CMs will mind if you celebrate your birthday for an extra week or two.

We’re going next August/September for my 50th too. And we’re also going to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary as well. Our anniversary and my birthday won’t be during the time we are there (eg. my birthday is in July) and yet I’ll probably still wear a badge whilst out there.

Taking my 5 year old for her birthday next year and we will probably only be doing badges for the actual day.
