Iphone Connection Question

DH is travelling to Cairo with work in a couple of weeks, and has just found out that there is no Wi-fi in the hotel, but there is hard wire internet connection. I'm trying to find out if there's something he can buy to be able to connect while he's away, (I'm sure there must be) but the apple website keeps freezing on me at the moment.

Does anyone know for sure that there is a cable, and if so, what it is I should buy.

hey JoJo,

i have the iphone also, he doesnt need wi-fi & the iphone comes enabled with the internet but it would be build through his mobile operator. Make sure he checks the rates of browsing while roaming

Hi, thanks for your reply

Yes, he does use the internet through the phone's own internet at times, but it is a lot better when he connects through our home wireless connection, or gets on another Wi-fi when he's out and about. I'm not sure what the difference is to be honest, I'm not technically minded at all, but thought I would ask the question on here on his behalf.

I expect you are right, but unfortunately he'll probably be spending most of his time either at work or in the hotel. I think he'd feel happier if he knew he could get internet access in the room - he gets quite fed up being away from home.
