Sky Sports are no barometer for sensible discussions... next we'll be quoting Jim White on Talksport as sensible.

Who at Villa hates Arsenal.. is it the fans, which in fact is totally irrelevant, or the club, who then must have instructed the manager to play a weakened team against City and lose so that it dents Arsenal's title hopes and their own CL chances...

If Sky Sports are discussing that as a serious thing then it's time to stop watching them

One could argue that Unai Emery maybe doesn't particularly have any respect for Arsenal after how he was treated there. So he would possibly have a wry smile on his face at disrupting them in their chase for a title...
But I don't think he would be that childish. And they have a genuine shot at Champions League football so that will be his focus, not getting one over on Arsenal.

Exactly. They are professional sportsmen and managers - they want results for the team they are playing/managing - us fans have far more invested in WHO we are playing than those actually involved - they just want to win full stop. Absolute nonsense that villa will throw a game, especially when they’ve got so much riding on it themselves! Sky Sports talk absolute drivel - I thought we all knew that?! 😂😂

Do they really? we lived a few miles from Villa Park and are massive Wolves fans and quite knowledgeable about midlands football and have never heard this, they hate WBA and Birmingham City, then Wolves to a lesser degree but why Arsenal?
