Disagree, if Coventry had won the EFL cup it would be massive but for a team that is in the global top 5 of clubs to win only the EPL cup when they were harping on about a quad or triple is indeed worthy of mockery.

Different clubs have different objectives, for say a third of the clubs in the PL staying up is as much an achievement as one of the big clubs winning the champions league. A club the size of Liverpool should be winning major trophies (plural) every year if they don’t they have under performed.

Both games today were fantastic, could not believe that such a large number of spurs fans left at 3-0 down

This last 2 seasons have proven just spending lots of money doesn’t mean a top 4 finish anymore.
Arsenal have got 1 tough game left Man Utd away but would the fans be happy if they gifted City the title and Man City got Spurs away.

I keep saying this about money. Obviously if you’ve got more to spend it’s easier. But the most important thing is how you spend it. Arsenal and Chelsea both spent £100m on a midfielder this season. One looks like a bargain even at that price, the other one, not so much

Birmingham City relegation yesterday, perfect example of how not to run a football club.

Eustace inexplicably sacked in October with club sitting sixth. Go with glamour appointment of Rooney and everything that followed unmitigated disaster.

Meanwhile Eustace oversees Blackburns survival at Birminghams expense

The former owners did the same with Gary Rowett they were 7th in the league on goal difference and he was Sacked for a star name in Gianfranco Zola who only won 2 games of his 24 in charge.
In the 13 years since they went down from the premiership they only been in the playoff picture once with 5 of the seasons going to the full day to stay up with yesterdays taking them back down to the 3rd tier for the 1st time in 30 years.
Now on the other hand well done to Ipswich on double promotions.
