Does anyone else use Bonne Maman jam?

I usually use raspberry for my sponges, DH fancied strawberry for a change - it was so runny it ran down the side of my sponge! The sponge wasn't warm and the jam had been in the fridge too.

Is this normal?

I am a Bonne Maman Jam user and it should be sticky and set, not runny. That is definitely not normal for it to be runny. What a shame, I hope you had some other jam to use on your sponge. Xx

I only had BM lemon curd, which hubby dislikes.

I whipped some cream and we ate the sponge with the jammy sides and cream 😀

My OH has noted that last two jars of Bonne Maman strawberry jam have been runny consistency. ( large jars bought at Costco)

Brilliant save! As long as it tasted great that is all that matters. 😋💕

Oh no, that’s not great! My jar is a smaller one from Tesco (I think!) and it is super jammy. I wonder if they have had issues? Xx

Coconut Macaroons.

I needed a quick treat that wouldn’t take too long to make, didn’t have too many ingredients and was also gf. These are perfect and super simple to make!

I halved this recipe as a few of our friends that we share with are away this week.

Into a bowl I added 1/2 tin of condensed milk, some vanilla bean paste and approximately 150g of desiccated coconut.

Mix well.

I used a cookie scoop (Ice-cream scoops would work too) to portion the mixture onto a lined baking tray.

Pop into a pre-heated 160 deg oven for 10 minutes. Make sure you keep an eye on them as they brown quickly.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool.

Once cooled, melt your chocolate in the microwave. I used dark chocolate but if you prefer milk chocolate then go for it!

Dip the base of the macaroon into the melted chocolate and then drizzle over the top.

Pop back into the fridge until the chocolate has set. Then serve and eat! 😋

These were super tasty, lots of coconut flavour and the sharpness of the dark chocolate cuts through the sweetness of the condensed milk. A quick simple treat! 😍

Thank you for sharing this. Maybe a manufacturing issue then.
