My little girl (7) got dragged under when we were there. My husband had her hand but she was underwater and terrified but she was out in seconds. It really frightened her. I’m so thankful we had her hand.
Also, on a lighter note, a lady got knocked off her feet in front of me and my son and she went flying in between my sons legs. I couldn’t let go of him as he’s only 5 so we just had to kinda stand there as she floated under him. She was laughing her head off but it was the funniest thing ever as she literally could not stop. My son being him started having a convo with her: “why are you under my legs?” “What’s your name?” As this poor woman is floating past unable to get up. It’s very strong.

My son was knocked off his feet by the wave.
His back looked like he had been attacked by a Bear. People at the first aid station , adults with next to nothing wrong with them moved aside and felt a bit embarrassed. He had dressings all over his back and we had to leave. Bless him not a tear or complaint |

Getting Excited

Yes the floor is quite rough there and glad it hasn't hampered your trip. Just some advice for others. My wife broke 3 toes on the rapid river at VB at Easter just gone and wished she'd had some water shoes on. I did tell her to get some before we went so it was hard not to say "told you so" :-) luckily it was our last day so she just had to hobble to the airport the next day. She's got some now for our Sept trip though.
