Virgin moved flight by 24 hours
Virgin have just emailed to say they have moved our flights to the following day 😩 we are only going for 10 days and have car and hotels already booked also booked the hotel night before we fly, this has truly messed up our plans but was wondering where I stood before spending hours on hold to talk to them. It looks like they have no flights to Orlando from anywhere on that day so airport change is not an option.

There are probably flights available with delta though maybe indirect. Ask for them to move you to a flight on the same day

Orlando-Blues we've just had the same email. I'm fuming. Literally shoved us from Sunday 23rd to Monday 24th January, returning Monday 7th Feb instead of Sunday 6th February.
This is the fourth change in the last 8 weeks. Previously it was aircraft type and times. Now this The worst part of this is that myself and my partner both have separate bookings and they'e received their cancellation email and I've not even had mine. So at the moment we're showing on our online account that we're on different flights. Attraction Tickets Direct have said they will contact Disney regarding our reservations and see if they have availability to move us. I've got to email with my details and take it from there. Can't believe Virgin are now reducing their schedules. This is one of their busiest destinations and now they're cutting flights?! Makes me wonder if they're in trouble of folding? I believe it's due to lack of aircraft combined with reduced demand. They really don't have a large enough fleet (around 35-40 from memory) to manoeuvre around, so they have to make cuts. Especially as they took the 747s out of service but haven't accepted delivery of many replacements yet.
Hope everyone manages to sort out an alternative. Edited at 04:56 PM. |

Same for me moved from 23rd to 24th but car hire alone to put the extra day on is costing a fortune plus another extra day at £100 accommodation think I’m going to rebook for later.
