Hiya guys!

Well we finally booked our holiday yesterday! SO excited!
Just over 6 months to go until the 10th November 2014!

I've never written a pre-trippie before so hopefully this will be okay!

Introductions

Me: Sarah aka mummy, 26 years young (I look much younger too)! i'm a photographer who doesn't often like many photos taken of herself so finding a recent picture alone wasn't the easiest of tasks!
Anyway this is me!

My husband Michael aka daddy and the love of my life! He's a corporal in the army who has no problems with having his photo taken!

And

Our not so little man, Callum, 5 years old! Loves all Disney films and characters and also thinks he's a Power Ranger!

What we have booked!

We have spent so long waiting to book this holiday! With my husband in the army, it's pretty hard to pin point certain dates because of him going away ect! Past holidays have been cancelled because of his work unfortunately but we have still managed to do Cancun and Venice in the past couple of years.
We have found out that he's going to Kenya just after summer, until the end of October, so we have now booked this for when he's home in November!
We are going to take our little man, who's in Y1 out of school but hopefully with my husband coming back from active deployment they will grant our holiday dates! Fingers crossed anyway! (Anyone have any experience of this?)
Oh and another thing, we are trying for a baby so we 'may' have a little one in my belly by the time we go to Disney! (Safe to fly and everything and had advice on here)

We have booked our flights with Virgin!

Monday, 10 November 2014
Depart: Mon, 10 Nov at 11:40. Terminal: S.
Arrive: Mon, 10 Nov at 16:05. (non‑stop).
And coming back...
Monday, 24 November 2014
Depart: Mon, 24 Nov at 18:05.
Arrive: Tue, 25 Nov at 07:05. (non-stop).

Disney's Magical Express to the hotel!

We're staying at Disneys Art Of Animation Resort because of the Lion King themed rooms which are there!

We have booked our Disney 14 day unlimited tickets and our Universal tickets too!

We also have a Kids Eat Free card, are they any good? With booking so late and not getting the free dining plans or anything we have decided to just pay for our own food when we are there!

Our holiday price so far!
£3,570.00
Do you think it's a good price for what we have already? I've been before but when I was younger with my family so no idea about prices of Disneyworld ect!

What we still have to do!
❤ Change my passport to my married name!
❤ Get Callums passport renewed.
❤ Check Travel Insurance.
❤ Do ESTA's.
❤ Change Dollars.
❤ Book VIP at the airport.
❤ Book Character Dining (Any recommendations?)
❤ Book Discovery Cove.
❤ Find out about American Football Games.
❤ School Holiday Forms.
❤ Get Disneyworld books/Plan our 2 weeks roughly.
❤ Autograph book for Callum.
❤ Get New Suitcases.
❤ Holiday Clothes.

Can anybody think of anything else?

Thank you for reading xxx

Aw thank you so much!

Oh Callum will absolutely love it! We haven't told him yet so there's still the element of surprise for him when we figure out how to tell him! One thing for certain, we will definitely wait until last minute otherwise we will have constant questions about when we are leaving!

We haven't done the API no, how do you provide that information and when? I'm a total newbie! Haha!

Thank you! x

What a good looking bunch! How cute is your little one!

The park hours for Nov have been released now. The links are to the right. Have you sorted out when your 180 day mark is to book ADRs?

One character lunch I'd recommend us Chef Mickeys at the Contempory resort. My 36yr old husband/child loved it! Lol xx

Is that when you book them at 180 days? Thank you for that! I didn't know!
I don't know much and only have 6 months to figure it all out! Haha!

I've just been looking at Chef Mickeys and I think Callum would love it!
So many more restaurants ect to look at! xxx

Hello, API is your passenger details for your flight, you must add them before you fly. You should be able to do this through your booking with Virgin . Your TA confirmation usually reminds you to do this and where to do it.

Yes

At 180 days you can book the first 10 days. What I would do, is sit and have a rough plan of what parks you want to visit, even if you just do it for the first week. You can use the park hours and busy day guide menus to the right of the screen. There is also an ADR calculator to tell you when your 180 days is but looking at your dates it'll be in May at some point... *Just checked - 14th May*

Once you've got a basic plan, you know what to aim for booking your ADRs. Don't over plan though and don't book too many otherwise you'll feel restricted as there are plenty of great counter service restaurants too that don't need prebooking. Chef Mickeys and the Character Meals will always need prebooking though. Xx
