Winter Park / Garden help

Hi all

We are just doing some research for our trip. Would like to visit some places away from theme parks.

Where abouts do people tend to park if they want to look around the village of Winter Park? Or is it just head there and find street parking?

Many thanks
Emma

There is not much at Winter Garden, just Main Street with a few shops. It is mainly known for the start of the West Orange jogging/cycling trail.
Not far away there is Winter Garden Outdoor shopping mall which is decent

Winter Park is much bigger and has a great selection of shops museums, restaurants, also a Farmers Market on Saturdays. There is also a boat ride on the lake viewing the luxury houses.
There is plenty of easy parking behind the Amtrak station in the centre of the town.

As Anna-Marie says they are different places around 25 miles apart.

Winter Park has the scenic boat ride around the chain of lakes which is a nice relaxing thing to do after the hectic pace of the parks. There's also the Morse Museum with an extensive display of Tiffany Glass. We just park kerbside near the lake and walk into town.

We know nothing of WG I'm afraid other the large Winter Garden Village which is a large outdoor shopping area similar to The Loop.

Not much at WG - what... it has the Crooked Can Brewery - no trip is complete without a visit there 😉🙂

Winter Park -
We normally park near the Scenic Boat Tour (on the street) and book our boat trip. After the boat we usually walk to the Main Street and look in the little shops, or farmers market (if on the right day - Saturday morning? ). Then we would grab some lunch in a cafe. Its a lovely place to people watch and chill out.

Winter Garden is miles away from Winter Park. Ive never been. I think its just another outdoor mall type town.
