So we are looking at our next trip! I am working on an itinerary but wondered if people book diy and if so who did you fly with? Thanks!

I flew with WestJet, very similar to Easyjet but a tad nicer. My flight wasn't too uncomfortable but I'm 5'4 and don't need lots of room anyway. If you're going to Toronto I'd recommend them, really affordable. I did a connector to Vancouver but the first flight which stopped in Toronto was really quick so I didn't mind that the plane was small. They are like Norwegian where you have to pay extra for bags and food IFE etc, but honestly even with this they came out the cheapest. You can pre-pay for your bags and food when you book your flight which is what I'd recommend because I didn't and you can only do it so many weeks before your flight. I also paid for one of their in flight Ipads as there's no TV's but it was worth every penny and not too bad price wise.

We are just back from touring Quebec on a DIY. We flew with BA (Club) and for once the price was good so there was no need to do boomerang via Dublin, which we have had to do the last twice to Vancouver to save a bit. We are off to Vancouver again in Feb with BA - this time in Economy but we have paid to reserve the extra legroom seats - hope it is not too cold at the door.
We toyed with the idea of internal flights so we could also see Nova Scotia, but found internal flights quite expensive, so we stuck to Quebec and will leave Nova Scotia for another time.

We have flown BA, Air France, Lufthansa and this year it will be Air Transat. But we live in the south of France so there are different options!
I know you don't drive but you could easily do Toronto - train to Ottawa - train to Montreal and then train to Quebec City. All are doable by public transport (well I will confirm re Ottawa in about 5 weeks!)

We did a package with BA, it was the best price at the time.
We loved Canada and plan on returning to see lots more.

We went with an escorted coach tour in Canada. All booked for you, hardly any research to be done as they take you to all of the good places. The guide and the driver were amazing, so much local knowledge.
We were worried about missing out on things like wildlife, but they stopped the coach (sometimes in the middle of the road) when a bear or Elk was spotted and always gave everyone the chance to see it and take photos. Flew to Calgary, stayed in Banff, Jasper, Kamloops and Vancouver.

We went down the DIY route back in 2015. We flew Manchester to Toronto direct on Air Transat. 5 nights in Toronto in an Airbnb condo.
Rented a car on our last day to visit Niagara, then the following day drove to Prince Edward County for a couple of days on the beach, then on to Ottawa for 3 nights. We then flew across to Vancouver for 6 nights with Air Canada, then direct flight back to Manchester again with Air Transat. All three of us had a fantastic time, and we are looking at the possibility of returning again next year.
