Grey tree rats 😂, we get loads of those in the garden .
Met a really friendly one in universal studios last year he even played the drum with my daughter... you might have to zoom in a bit but it was there for a while not at all intimidated by her banging the steel drum 😂 |

I experienced a similar thing when I was at university- I saw an injured bird sitting on a window ledge and didn't think I could reach it myself so I called campus security. They said "just avoid the area for a few days so you don't get upset"- meaning they were going to let it die there.
It was years ago and I still feel guilty. I remember my dad being really shaken when a huge crow hit his windshield and another time when he saw another car run over a squirrel. I think this case is a little bit different- the seagull has to eat and the pigeon is probably its prey. I would be equally upset if I found a seagull that had starved to death, so it's a catch-22! You like many other people are kind and compassionate and don't like to witness suffering, but as others have said, it's the Circle of Life and nature can be very cruel to those too weak to land at the top of the food chain. If you feel very badly about it, perhaps you could make a donation to a local wild animal rescue or invest in a bird feeder/bird bath for your garden |

I saw three male ducks trying to rape a female by a river, I think she ended up being drowned as they all crowded her and pushed her under
At the risk of scarring you all for life... I've also heard of seals raping penguins, otters raping ducks and dolphins raping baby dolphins, killing them in the process. Kangaroos are necrophiliacs, as are many other animals I suspect! Nature can be utterly horrible sometimes. |

You have to watch those squirrels. Born thieves!
Spotted this at SSR when some Lady had left her bag and gone for lunch. I did tell her when she came back due to disease etc. He liked the Cheetos I think!

Ah seriously not your fault. Not nice to see and not nice of the security men but I don't think you could have made a difference

Duck rape, really? What's next, the seagull in the opening post is a murderer? Applying human crimes to animals is a bit over the top, they act on instincts not morals (however ugly these instincts may look to a human being).

I agree, wild birds and animals are not human despite what some people seem to think - and yes, I'm an animal lover and we have a big bird feeding area in our garden, but nature has to happen.
