Thankyou for your helpful replies. I will definately look into the things you have all suggested. I looked at seaplanes for DS and DH, but it was about £100 each! Has anyone ever experienced this activity before?

I've never done it but you can get a flying lesson for about the same money, maybe a bit less, in Perth.

You haven't said when you are visiting. Cowal Gathering is on in Dunoon from 24th - 26th August, it's just a ferry ride and a bit from Glasgow, so you could possibly squeeze in both.

Even if your dates don't coincide, the drive from Inverness to either Oban/Dunoon/Glasgow down the A82 via Fort William, Glencoe and Loch Lomond is absolutely stunning.

Or

Here in Moray, we are Malt Whisky Country. There's a fair few distilleries and we have the Whisky trail, if that's your thing. Where I live in Lossiemouth (about an hour east of Inverness, along the coast), we have two beaches and Outfit Moray offers outdoor activities and water sports. Although obviously weather dependent, we have our own "mini-climate" here, which is more temperate than the rest of Scotland. We still get all four seasons in a day, just not quite as extreme as the rest of the country!
