Avatar FP+ looking unlikely...Tusker advantage?

26th August is an 8am (Extra Morning Hours) opening which would be your best chance, on other websites people have done both rides within 90 minutes.

Cheers, WDWMAD... not sure how the rest of the family will feel about getting up at 6am on our final morning/travel day...but its there as a last resort I guess. Such a pity as it was the main reason for booking. On a positive note, theres lots of FP+ Na'vi Boat Ride and the usual big hitters at AK are far easier to get fp's for haha...always look on the biiiight side of life...dedum, dedum, dedum dedum dedum

True... my DH will be fine, he can sleep standing , but my DS and I sit there like owls - eyes wide open .

We have options...not the ones I envisaged, but at least its something.

Goodness..I well underestimated the rush for Avatar when booking just the 3 nights at AKL From what I can make out from Touring Plans, its up to 60+5 at the moment (and even +5 is up to 5pm ish

Does anyone know when we'll know how long the 8am (non EMHs) will be going on for?

We are staying one night in a disney resort and going to AK on our first day - if the 8am is done as EMH in the morning on that day, then we'll try and do FOP then (although we have an 8.30 Tusker House breakfast booked - which we did ages before we knew about the 8am possible openings, so may need to move that). There are EMHs listed for the evening of our first day. Does anyone know how the queues have been for FOP in EMH in the evenings?

If there are other 8am not EMH openings, then we'll aim for rope drop on those days. But currently it is saying 9am.

It appears to be accurate up to the time it states the details were taken..ie 2:15am west coast time for example (I dont know what time, just a guess there). There was a cancellation listed on TP...I missed it as by the time I charged over it had gone.

Like my husband was saying (as I was turning the air blue for missing the cancellation listed for our last day)...I cant spend all my waking hours checking- its only a ride ...

(ah yes... but its a new ride that sounds fab

It depends what you mean by "accurate"?

TP apparently checks the availability of single fastpasses around once an hour. Therefore the availability shown on their website does not reflect the availability at the current time but did reflect the availability at the time the information was gathered. It does not predict what the availability will be in the future either.

Cancellations can happen meaning that fastpasses can appear where there were previously none. Disney may also add additional fastpasses - for example when they extend the park hours it usually means additional fastpasses are added.

So, just because TP's website correctly says that fastpasses were unavailable does not mean that fastpasses will never become available again.

I just booked our fps yesterday - we are a party of 4 and I didn't try to get 2 parties of 2 as I needed to go out at 12:30pm so was in a rush. There were no FPs available for FOP on day 4 of our holiday at all but there was a fair amount of availability for Na'vi River. There was plenty of availability for both rides on day 7. Interesting to note there were also no safari FPs before around 2pm on Day 4 (which did surprise me!). I didn't try any other days.
